Here’s a brief history of who I am, and what you can expect from my blog. I was lucky to have been born and raised on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. As a result, I have had a life-long love of the outdoors. I’m a firm believer that time spent in the outdoors teaches critical life lessons – like preparedness and tenacity, instills self sufficiency, inspires awe, creativity, and heals the soul. I strive to use these lessons to instill an adventurous spirit in my boys and teach them there’s nothing they can’t accomplish if they put their mind to it.
My blog is a mix of ideas circling around exploration, leadership, creativity, and parenting, through the lens of the outdoors. My goal is to educate, entertain and inspire people to explore more of the world around us. It’s only through that connection that we build awareness of how to better ensure our open spaces remain protected and free. What you won’t find here are a bunch of commercialized “enter to win” posts, or promotions. My goal is to be a resource and create genuine connections with like-minded people who want to share ideas and perspectives. I hope you enjoy what I offer and I hope you’ll take a moment to connect with me on some of the social platforms like Twitter, Instagram or Pinterest.
